Magic instead of Power

Ric Weinman has discovered that an Assemblage Point or the whole Assemblage Point System can get damaged by various traumas. I can channel Magical Jewel to repair these if so, therefore please ask during your next session. It really makes a difference and only takes a few minutes 🙂 

As I have mentioned before, my journey this time on Europe Tour with Amma is really too personal to share. But there is one story I would like to relay. As I was entering the hall in Switzerland one day, I bumped into a little girl and her father, both of whom are friends of mine. This particular child is deeply gifted. She was being ‘difficult’, so I offered to give her a shoulder ride so she didn’t have to walk. She agreed and promptly climbed up onto my shoulders as if I were a climbing frame – lol! As she sat there, our spines connected, from her tailbone to my neck. My mind instantly went completely Silent………..and I could feel the presence of Divine Mother. At first, I assumed it was Amma, yet I could feel that it wasn’t – this presence was emanating from the girl herself and rippling down into my entire being. The most striking sensation was that of being totally held, on every level. This girl is 6 years old – imagine! I also felt a profound sense of safety, which is unusual for me. Then my breathing naturally deepened and widened on its own and I relaxed. It felt as if I was going from Maya into Divinity. I didn’t know if I would be able to walk in such an ‘altered state’, yet somehow my feet followed through. This is the beauty and excitement of Touring with Amma. You never know what will happen next or where the Grace will come from – and in which form. 

Something which dawned on me while listening to a friend is that it is possible that Amma chants quite different mantras into each person’s ear – not mainly two mantras. So please throw out any previous info from me about this and listen carefully while receiving your next darshan. 

Ric has commented on a couple of things in recent classes which I wanted to share with you. The first is that, Magic is a good term to replace Power. Isn’t that beautiful..? How true. I love that… The other one is that we could think of the kidneys as being the force which holds things together in the body. This is why kidneys are so important for health and why we focus on them in Vortex Healing a lot (as is also the case in Chinese medicine).

🕉 In This Very Moment 🕉

Here’s a little pre-Tour story for you 🙂 I went to a drum’n’bass rave recently, and my friend was late, so I went to the bar to order a drink. As soon as I turned around, I saw someone I knew 🙂 Michael is a guy I have known within almost all my communities for many years. We immediately found ourselves talking about Amma. He revealed that he had actually met Amma on Her first ever trip to London, in the late 1980s, with only about 50 other people there! Wow… He didn’t actually know Amma was doing a Tour of Europe now, but had been keeping some dates aside in his calendar from 20th – 22nd Nov, without knowing why. He was amazed to find out that those are the exact dates Amma will be here and now he is coming! She gathers us from all places into Her lap.

I can honestly say that being with Amma in Switzerland was the most incredible Europe Tour stop so far in my life, aside from when I actually met Amma for the first time. Here are two stories which may be able to convey a little of that magic :-  

I got to Winterthur the night before the start of Tour and settled into my hotel briefly, before receiving messages and calls from friends telling me to come to the program hall. I was thinking about going anyway to offer seva for set-up, but didn’t realise Amma was in fact attending! When I arrived at the entrance to the hall, the carpet had been laid out for Amma. Hardly any of us were there – probably 30 people. We began chanting “Om Amriteswaryai Namaha” in unison. Suddenly, Amma’s car appeared and Amma got out. When I beheld Amma’s face for the first time, I literally raised my hands to my own face in shock : it was like getting a Love-shock. It felt as if I had never seen Amma before. I began to go into ecstasy… As we sat for meditation inside the dining hall, Amma was in a playful mood and so young – like a child. She was making jokes and beaming at us all. The whole vibe was utterly magical… At this point, the place began to fill up with volunteer Tour Staff, plus a few more of us who had heard the call. During the MA-OM part of the White Flowers Meditation, everything just fell away… Me and everything else was gone. In place of it, there arose Peace, as if for the first time. For a long time, I had no thoughts – they just stopped – and no anything else either. When this spontaneously happens (which is usually in Amma’s physical presence), I realise that absolutely nothing I take as real is actually real. I can see everything with a true perspective. What arises from that is profound Love for everyone… All the people I was arguing with in my head, I loved all of them, I just loved all of them. All the dramas in my life (in my mind really) vanished. Cessation. And the feeling of being absolutely focused in the present moment, yet without efforting or forcing, was so deeply fulfilling and completing… There was only Now. Genuine, sweet, open, present. I knew, without mental knowing yet from within, that there is nothing outside of this. There is nothing real outside of such purity. I am crying writing about this.

The next story reveals the sheer intensity that we can sometimes go through on Tour, plus the unimaginably perfect timing and Divine intentionality of all of it. On the first day of the program, I was talking with one of you in the main hall as you cried about your situation of single motherhood. It was heartbreaking. And yet you were so strong that it was palpable. Next, another of you approached me and we had a conversation. All-of-a-sudden in the middle of it, someone was hugging me from the other side. Before I knew, I saw it was the number one person I was extremely anxious and vulnerable about, plus had had 0% contact with for many long months. I had no idea he would be there. Despite all of this, we could not stop hugging once we embraced. In that holding, he said to me, “It’s so good to see you, oh my god.” Those words and the rare warmth between us are both things I had entirely lost hope of ever feeling again. I had had to let this person go so completely, not once but again and again and again. The felt sense of this hug was so wonderful…yet ordinary, relieving and everything else all-at-once. His action was brave, kind and gentlemanly. I was also very pleased that the friend I was talking to beforehand was there, because this seemed to facilitate such an unexpected reconnection. My entire body was softly shaking. At that exact moment, another of you called on the phone. I knew it was about something extremely serious, so I answered. I was there for the shock of grief for you, honestly just hoping I was doing a good enough job still shaking. After the call, I got into the darshan line, since earlier I had been handed a token by a friend-of-a-friend (such Grace!!), and decided to take another friend’s picture for photo-darshan (due to the incredibly rough time she is having at the moment). In the queue, I could only try to process everything as best I could! I was guided from somewhere, “Just keep doing your mantra.” As I entered the stage and beheld Amma, the sheer joy of seeing Her face suddenly brought me to my knees in tears. I could only bow down in reverence to such awe-inspiring beauty. When it was my turn, Amma blessed each person in the photo very carefully with sandalwood paste. She then pulled me in for the hug, chanting in my ear very intensely. Suddenly, towards the end of the darshan, Amma changed the words She was chanting. I knew immediately and from a previous experience, that it was a blessing of some kind for the bond between that aforementioned gentleman and I. When She had finished, Amma drew back and in stillness we stared into one another’s eyes, for what seemed like an eternity. Amma was smiling so broadly, beaming in fact. Then She said, looking directly into my eyes, “Ok.” It wasn’t a question, it was a statement. I felt like She was telling me, “You’re totally fine.” She seemed to communicate just through one word and one look, that I can in fact handle the chaotic challenges I think I can’t. Honestly, that reminder changed everything. 

On top of all of this, that particular date, exact place and the fact I was with Amma was incredibly significant. In identical circumstances six years earlier, Amma and I had had a Q&A during darshan which was the most significant I have ever had with Her in my life. The timing and synchronicity were spell-binding…it felt as though everything had come full-circle and healed. How transformed I am from the person I was back then… Following my darshan, I sat on stage with Amma for about 2 hours, again with the inner guidance to keep doing my mantra. I believe Amma was still working on the friend in the photo and on me as well. The stage with Amma always feels to me like the centre of the universe. The whole of life is there.

The Fire of Truth

I learned a lot from an Adyashanti satsang I was listening to on the tube this week. I will try to convey some of that learning here. The recording was made in 2002, which was the year I first met Adyashanti (now retired), when he transformed my perspective on awakening completely. When we allow ourselves to experience this moment exactly as it is, the barrier between what’s happening in the outside world and inside our skin becomes very transparent. Experiencing sounds – the humdrum of life in the street, the cars – and the sounds inside us become of the same quality. A feeling in our body isn’t really different than the sound of a vehicle – not ours and not other than ours. An understanding which is not in words, but is the direct experience of what is, reveals itself as a great gift of not looking for an alternate experience. Something mysterious knows…something mysterious experiences this moment. Yet we can’t say what it is. Because as soon as we try to – it’s not that. It’s closer, more immediate. As soon as we think about it, it’s not the thoughts – it’s before a thought. It’s closer. We begin to experience directly that we don’t exist, and yet know that we do – but we don’t, but we do… Knowing beyond understanding, yet not able to define in any way. Knowing by this mysterious unknown experiencer. We are not us after all; maybe we are this, that is awake, before all seeking. This mysterious awakeneness… But to sacrifice this for something else – for anything else… Can we not sacrifice this that’s awake, in the chair where we happen to be sitting? Not sacrifice this for the promise of a better moment. A better event, a better experience. This is the Fire of Truth. This that is awake now in us – as us – shows up the utter irrelevance of every other argument, whatever that may be. This fire is unseen and unknown. We all have a choice of, what do I give my life to? Maybe this choice has never been conscious before, but now it is. What is important to us..? Don’t lose ourself – are we going somewhere? Or are we staying here? Just notice… Whatever we do is ok 🙂 🙂 🙂 Just notice where we’re choosing to go. This is it – this is the fire. It does not leave dramatics in its wake – it leaves something unspeakable in its wake. Something more satisfying than joy, something more satisfying than peace. Beyond excitement. When we sell this that is awake out, if we sell it out – be aware and awake to what we’re selling it out to. Make the sure the bargain is what we want it to be. Or perhaps we may, by some Grace, realise that nothing inside of us wants to sell this that is awake out anymore. Not even for our security, our existence or the good opinion of others. A life free from negotiation and bargaining. As Tony Parsons used to ask us, “Are you in business with life?” This is what the fire of this Truth removes from us : our negotiation and our bargaining with what is. That violence of attitude is finally absent. To really receive this gift fully, it’s got to be given to everybody, everywhere. We’ve got to notice that this that is awake doesn’t want anyone to change or improve – at all. That’s the ash of the fire. “A minute a go I wanted you to change, but now I don’t. You’re fine.” Nobody conformed to our pattern and yet happiness more than anything before is now here. This that is awake is the same in everybody and everything. The rest is a beautiful diversity.

Breaking News 

Hello 🙂

The Breaking News is that Amma will indeed do Her European Tour 🙂 🙂 🙂 My sources have told me it will probably be mid-October to end of November 2025. The UK program is likely to be held at Sandown Racecourse (in Esher, Surrey) again – in November. Please do not contact me about exact dates as they are not yet known. I will let you know as soon as I do 😉

God is the principal of life, the inner light of consciousness, and pure bliss awareness. It is your very own self. You can understand the secret of bliss when you contemplate the nature of the self. When the waves of the mind subside you will see that everything you seek is already within you.

I find myself still in a very deep integration process after the recent Deepening in Divinity class I took in Boston. I cannot seem to come up with words to describe either the class, the impacts of it or where I am now in my embodiment. When something this profound hits you, there is almost a sense of disbelief, even while it is happening. All I wish to express at this point is, don’t ever lose faith or trust and don’t ever stop surrendering. When one begins to see the way things really are, automatically there is a recognition of just how Divine the whole of life actually is. And, perhaps also, how foolish one has been not to have seen that during some parts of the journey of life.

Radiating in all directions

‘I Am That’ pg. 296 – “Q : You make all these extraordinary statements about yourself. What makes you say those things? What do you mean by saying that you are beyond space and time?

M : You ask and the answer comes. I watch myself – I watch the answer and see no contradiction. It is clear to me that I am telling you the truth. It is all very simple. Only you must trust me that I mean what I say, that I am quite serious. As I told you already, my Guru showed me my true nature – and the true nature of the world. Having realised that I am one with, and yet beyond the world, I became free from all desire and fear. I did not reason out that I should be free – I found myself free – unexpectedly, without the least effort. This freedom from desire and fear has remained with me since then. Another thing I noticed was that I do not need to make an effort; the deed follows the thought, without delay and friction. I have also found that thoughts become self-fulfilling; things would fall in place smoothly and rightly. The main change was in the mind; it became motionless and silent, responding quickly, but not perpetuating the response. Spontaneity became real. And above all, infinite affection, love, dark and quiet, radiating in all directions, embracing all, making all interesting and beautiful, significant and auspicious.

Q : We are told that various Yogic powers arise spontaneously in a man who has realised his own true being. What is your experience in these matters?

M : Man’s fivefold body (physical etc.) has potential powers beyond our wildest dreams. Not only is the entire universe reflected in man, but also the power to control the universe is waiting to be used by him. The wise man is not anxious to use such powers, except when the situation calls for them. He finds the abilities and skills of the human personality quite adequate for the business of daily living. Some of the powers can be developed by specialised training, but the man who flaunts such powers is still in bondage. The wise man counts nothing as his own. When at some time and place some miracle is attributed to some person, he will not establish any causal link between events and people, nor will he allow any conclusions to be drawn. All happened as it happened because it had to happen; everything happens as it does, because the universe is as it is.” (for interested parties, that was the passage I read out at the beginning of the last Group Healing)

A friend who had been living with Amma for 3 months recently, shared something important with me. Amma said that the last two weeks of March this year will be very bad indeed for travel. Apparently there will be some kind of affliction in general in humanity at that time, which will impact travelling.

I want to highlight a very moving session which happened recently. A new person who has taken Jewel class in Vortex Healing came to see me. I must say, her present-life backstory was genuinely heartbreaking and horrifying… I will not convey details, but suffice to say it was the most extreme history I have ever heard (which includes my years working as a Therapist in deprived areas of London). Here’s the thing though, when I bridged into her system expecting the worst, what I felt was the opposite. There was all this Light which seemed to be emanating from her… I began to feel I was being bathed in Angelic Light. After the session, I wrote to Ric Weinman with a photo, saying I thought it possible that this person might be an Incarnated Angel. 

When I lay down that night, I couldn’t stop thinking about the whole thing. I decided to tune into some Incarnated Angels I know (I am only aware of 2 actually) and then back to this client. I felt that there was something the same, yet something different. I then had a premonition of Ric explaining to me that this person has a Guardian Angel in her field. When I opened my inbox the following day, that is exactly what he said. I have never experienced a Guardian Angel before (as far as I remember anyway), so this is beyond exciting! (NB : people do sometimes believe they have one – you may have already heard somebody say this. Plus, it’s a term in common verbiage. Yet a real Guardian Angel is very rare.) The most significant thing about this particular unfoldment – I suppose what moved me the most – is the sense of how deeply help was needed and that it came to this person. I am infinitely moved by this……….it really leaves me in awe of the Divine.

My Mum and I had fun visiting the AdWomen exhibition at the Museum of Brands in London last week 🙂 As many of you know, my mother Barbara Nokes is one of the most celebrated and awarded Advertising creatives globally, rising to fame during the Golden Age of Advertising in the 80s and 90s. Although by no means her only work, she wrote the concept and screenplay for (and also cast Nick Kamen in) the now legendary Levi’s ‘Launderette’ commercial, in 1985. I felt proud to see her splattered all over this exhibition and to see how much the other women who also shaped culture at that time were inspired by her 🙂 Here is a little souvenir, although the exhibition’s screening of ‘Madwomen’ was our favourite bit. That documentary is probably still available on Channel 4 in some capacity if you would like to watch, plus this exhibition is still on in Ladbroke Grove :-

If you were there to participate (or simply receive it in the world), did you enjoy the EarthShift last weekend..? There were around 450 of us attending to actually facilitate the shift and we were working on a spot deep in the genetic group psyche for survival power. This was released in every human being on the planet. Although the impacts may not be what we dream of most, there will be a kind-of background effect over time to loosen the grip of that flavour of fearful power from the human race. Something interesting which was discussed in the group at one point which I wanted to share with you, is that Ric believes there are currently 13 avatars on the planet 🙂 🙂 🙂 As I wrote that, goosebumps consumed me…….. Many of these are apparently babies and children and some of those don’t even know that they are avatars. Not every one of them would have a role like Amma’s role – in fact none might. But nevertheless, the impact of having such beings on the planet is phenomenal…….. If you even think for a moment about the effect Christ had / has on this world, then Neem Karoli Baba and now Amma, it’s easy to see that this is very very good news! 

I actually felt a huge transformation from the first day of the EarthShift myself, so much so that I wrote to Ric about it :-

“I had a delightful day doing the EarthShift with Claudia 🙂 🙂 🙂 I feel the impact still of having had the angel in my spine, the oneness and soft blissfulness it engendered within my being, and the impact of the entire systemic shift of the class. When I was on the tube on the way home, an old Adyashanti satsang came onto my headphones randomly. It took me deeper still…and I began to experience clarity, like a crystal clear awake presence within. This seeing, knowing as not-knowing (innocent openness in a way) and contentment due to an uncontrived stopping and due to a very deep peacefulness with what is. 

Right now I recognise that I didn’t get what I want [in my life] but I got something much better. I could describe it as freedom, but it’s more than that – and also less than that at the same time. I don’t have a word or any words for this………”

Within just a few hours, completely without me realising it, began the aftermath of that deepening. I started to come down with a gut illness (which is very unusual for me) and by Sunday night, I was extremely ill and that has continued until today. As Adyashanti once said, “everyone wants awakening, not everyone wants the fall-out. Because there’s a fall-out to awakening, and the fall-out can sometimes be quite messy.” Three of my friends also reported having gotten different illnesses at the same time, another friend’s mother had a heart-attack and the renowned, talented yogin (and grandson of the original Ashtanga) Sharath Jois died aged only 53 – of a heart-attack – the day after.

As I was in my sick bed, I happened to glance at the EarthWorks V Group I am part of. To my utter astonishment, especially as it has nothing to do with the healing we are doing in that group, I bore witness to reading there some of the most hateful concepts about trans people that I have ever seen… My heart immediately went to my caring, talented and successful trans friends Jake and Leia and I imagined their eyes seeing such vitriolic words. Through tears, I responded in the Group to explain why the statements being made were false and to suggest creating a boundary for such incidents. I explained how unsafe it could potentially make anyone who is othered feel (which includes me by the way). There was a back and forth, with a few supportive voices saying at least something. I think it is different when it’s your own loved ones being attacked. Otherwise, how easy is it to ignore, since you don’t actually have any trans friends anyway..? Suddenly, the original person not only made more transphobic assertions, but now dragged Amma into them as well, presenting Amma as transphobic. For clarity, Amma publicly invited a large group of Indian trans women to receive awards and grants from Her charity on stage in Amritapuri when I was there this past winter. Although by this point in the thread there had been many triggering attitudes and statements, reading these baseless lies about Amma truly was the final straw. That kind of violence, cascading into a tender community space intended to heal the earth and people on it, left me too emotional (and I was already too ill) to come from a clear space any longer. I decided to leave the group. 

Obviously, there is no way to know whether all of the events above are connected or not, or whether the EarthShift transformed things in this kind of way. But I’m attempting, like perhaps a painter might, to illustrate some possibilities in terms of the Divine’s version of integration, embodiment and what is needed to go deeper into Truth. After hours and days of meeting my feelings (which the illness thankfully forced me into, since I could barely do anything at all) and of sitting in and releasing the deep core issue which had been playing out all along, I began (slowly) to enter into something which could perhaps be described as renunciation. It is a path I have never walked on before. At first I was transported back in time to a conversation with my second girlfriend, after we had broken up and she had gone to live in Amritapuri. Having become a Renunciate (dedicating her life solely to Amma), she asked, what is renunciation? Amma answered that true renunciation is to renounce the mind. Let that sink in for a minute.

I think that anyone can probably renounce ‘things’; like sex or meat or alcohol or money. Not easy, but certain, and possible. But who do we really know that has renounced the mind..? 

In the ensuing Silence of Being, this particular kind of renunciation became so important to me……in a way that it hadn’t done before. I’m not even pretending that I can do it, or that I will get there. I’m just saying that it’s so significant to me………. Amma has said that we need to long for God-realisation more than a drowning man gasping for air. I hope I have written some words to show that the weirdest things along the way can be used by the Divine to set light to a kind of out-of-options inner drive. Time will tell whether or not anything is left in the pathway which cannot be burned up like so much camphor in the Arati lamp.

Immortal Bliss

Hello 🙂 

How are you?

I must say that I was shocked, devastated and traumatised by the result of the U.S. election today and the beginning of Trump’s new presidency. At first, I simply couldn’t take it in – I was in shock. I even felt like pinching myself several times today, to see if it was real or just a very bad dream from which I would wake sweating and terrified, telling myself, “It’s just a dream, it’s just a dream.” Eventually, I took to the meditation cushion. I sat there talking and crying to Amma. What was revealed (beyond the mind) that it all honestly triggered for me, was deep loneliness and the excruciating pain of that inside. The only thing to do was my spiritual practice, so I got on with it. To my genuine astonishment, doing the 108 Names and the 1000 Names completely shifted things. I do not mean this as a spiritual bypass in any way. Through the tears and pain and including those too, I suddenly saw in a flash a part of the translation of one of the 108 Names : “…Immortal Bliss…” It was like the Divine had ‘planted it’ there, or magnetised my eyes to it. I was captivated… It occurred to me where life is going. Where we are likely to end up sooner or later. It totally redirected my attention and awareness. In a sense it was a remembering and in a sense it was a forgetting. Do you know what I mean? 

Perhaps another way of putting it, or something closely related, is in this note from Amma :-

If you are or have been struggling like I was, I strongly suggest you stick to your practices and lean into them even more. This is the time for rituals, for chanting, for meditation, for singing, for all the good stuff. What else is truly going to help us now? Not endless debate and not social media. The only other thing I would suggest for supporting and nourishing yourself at this time is sangha (community). One of you actually sent me a very beautiful quote about that earlier this week :-

“Having thus reflected, Ananda went to see the Buddha, and after saluting him told the Buddha what he thought, namely that spiritual friendship was half of the holy life. The Buddha disagreed. Spiritual friendship, companionship, or comradeship was not half of the holy life, but the whole of it, he told Ananda.”

Every person in the world will benefit from this work and so will the Earth itself, Gaia and the universe – all will receive healing. Somehow, I am reminded here of Adyashanti’s words and the place we long for within : the silent abyss beyond all knowing.

Paramatman Dayz

Hello 🙂 

I thought I would try to share with you all, some of the Light from this evening with Mother Meera here in London 🙂 Is it coming through..? I hope so 🙂 Many of you will have been to see this Saint before I think. My experience this time was that Mother Meera was able to open a space in which my mind kept stopping. It was quite amazing… As she stared into each of our eyes (this time at some distance, because the format has changed), everything I was so sure about beforehand simply vanished. 

One moment I was in a mind-set, in the literal sense, and the next there was nothing there – only Light. The Vortex teachers say that Mother Meera is able to bring down from above and channel into us all Paramatman Light, which is the highest form of energy apparently. As her eyes turned, it was as if my being would respond accordingly : when her eyes were ‘away’ I experienced Silence and mind-chatter would come and go, sometimes intensely, sometimes not. But when her gaze turned, even a little in my direction, all of that would simply stop. It was as if it had never existed. There was only what could be described as the Beyond… 

Was it Bliss? Or fulfilment-emptiness-still-point-Silence-Grace? Naming it didn’t occur in those moments. Perhaps what she was doing was also a beautiful demonstration by the Divine of how we are all the time being moved by Divinity. It is almost like someone has a remote control and switches it on and off : now the mind is on, now it is off. Of course I do not believe at all that there is a separated special being up there beyond the clouds, controlling me or anyone else. What I mean is that I felt like Divinity was cheekily saying, “Look what I can do!”, and played a game like a child – just for fun, just for the pure joy of it 🙂 And in that pure innocence, It happened to break my mind. 

As I say, it was like one moment everything seemed real, but the next all of that vanished – just disappeared! As this continued, yet ever fresh and natural, a situation about which I had felt quite some degree of certainty, arose in my thoughts. But instantly it became almost…silly – lol! And this is a very serious situation I’m referring to! In that Light, in that density of Silence, which seemed to fill the room and go beyond the walls too and was penetrating absolutely everything, although the serious situation existed – it was resting now. Resting inside a context. It was being held. But not held by someone or something. It was being held but not by anyone or anything. The mind was very very spacious – it still is in fact, even after London public transport and the streets of Tower Hamlets 😉 The sense of expansiveness is amazing……… 

In that expanse of the indescribable, the serious situation discovered its own nature. There was simultaneously a deep sense of impersonality to it, yet not at all in a cold way and not in a detached way. Intimacy was still present and freed from any feeling of entanglement / merging / stickiness. 

Now sitting here writing to you, I feel like a blank sheet of paper. Unspoilt by the mind, untainted by the stain of harsh emotion. I feel I am nothing and I also feel at the same time that I am everything. My heart is beating, my lungs are breathing…there is no noisiness inside or outside. There is no trying or not trying. There is a kind of profound Stillness, yet it is subtle.

The Swami whom we used to call ‘Star Wars Swami’ (because he looks quite like an Ewok, but meaning no disrespect at all!) and now commonly known as ‘Flute Swami’ (real name Swami Purnamritananda Puri), gave a beautiful satsang during Tour at the Washington D.C. program. Real Sensing

Real Sensing has very little to do with a technique. It has more to do with the ongoing willingness to see what’s true. When we are doing a healing on another person, it may be relatively easy to access that willingness within ourselves. But when it comes to us, we can often feel blocked or in limbo inside.

So, what is significant to perceive within ourselves and what is not..? There are usually a few things, or even just one thing, at any time in our lives which keep coming up and knocking on our door. These are the things which we know are there, but which we are not addressing. We have perhaps already received many intuitions about a certain situation in life, but have ignored those inner messages or outer messages. 

Such intuitive knowing always has its roots within the dynamic aspect of Truth. This is the ‘side of the coin’ of Truth if you will, which is the counterpart to Stillness, awakening and realisation. This dynamic side of Truth pushes through our lives, without any regard for our personal preferences or demands. It is like a force……very creative, very interesting, which clears out illusions one by one. This electric current of Truth is something that we tend to try to avoid or control, because it can shake us to our very core of identity, of ego, of any place inside where we are resisting being the actual Divinity that we are. Yet these intuitive flickers keep happening anyway, in moments, leaping to the foreground of experience like diamonds in the darkness.

The Magical Jewel (pt. 3)

I also now have TimeLines II and the tools from that class to offer you 🙂 Using TimeStreams, the Divine looks at all infinite possibilities for what is being worked on, choosing the best possible one and creating a brand new TimeLine. It is a very powerful and transformative technique, both for physical body issues, emotional issues and all other kinds of issues too. 

Continuing with The Magical Jewel class experiences : the other insight which arose from the breakthrough I had, happened a day later and I voice-recorded it. I am sharing this with you verbatim, in order to catch the essence of the thing :-

“So, the other thing I’m noticing in this whole awakening embodiment evolution that’s really exploded on this trip, is…there’s no need for resolution anymore. There were so many things I was trying to resolve. Always trying to resolve things with people, or mostly in my own mind : like, ‘this means this or this means that’ and ‘how can I resolve this?’, whatever it was. And that sense has gone. There’s no feeling that anything needs resolution, because the resolution IS already living and breathing within the whole world. Within what I am, within…it is what I am, so there’s no feeling of…I don’t feel so threatened by everything. It’s like, you know, I don’t have to come to some kind of understanding / resolution about every single thing. Something in that sense has just gone. Completely gone.”

The Magical Jewel (pt. 2)

I am great 🙂 I’m writing to share the next instalment of the incredible class I just did in Virginia Beach with Ric Weinman, The Magical Jewel, following on from the shift I wrote about in my second to last newsletter. I suppose I find it somehow important to attempt to convey the power and lived experiences / aftermaths of this awakening embodiment evolution and these Vortex Healing classes.

To continue :-

Class ended for the day after that unbelievable breakthrough I had had and the plan was to go to a friend’s Birthday party at a restaurant later on and pick up groceries beforehand. My friends and I got into the truck of a person who is extremely dear to me and who had offered to drive us to the supermarket. Even before I got to the truck and sat in the passenger seat, I began to have sensations in my body which built and built. As I touched the dashboard of the car, I could feel orgasmic waves passing through everything… I mean, it was ecstatic for me just to touch the car in this way. Yet these waves of heaven were in everything / as everything, so it wasn’t personal and it wasn’t sexual as much as it was sensual; it felt like Divine Union everywhere all at once. My breathing deepened and transformed in a similar way to when the breakthrough was occurring, difficult to convey in words, but it was something like gasping while simultaneously breathing very very deeply. I became sensitive to the cold and any cold air on my skin was painful, yet my body was hot and especially my heart centre – which one of my friends was holding and commenting on. My whole body was waving, somehow like water, like the ocean, yet also shaking and I had nerve pain all over. I took two paracetamol and some CBD oil (without THC) because the pains were very intense, especially in my left shoulder, neck and head. I had to sit up very straight all the time in the car, which was kind of awkward, because there was Shakti was pouring out of me like continuous rivers, especially up and down my spine. My body seemed no longer to be in my conscious control, so I tried to let go more and more of trying to ‘catch’ it. None of this, nor anything else at all, was experienced in any way as a problem or as wrong. But my friends were worried about me because of how weirdly my being was behaving – lol! I could see how worried they were and I tried to reassure them often. My mind was blank, yet words were coming out of my mouth when in communication. I felt no conflicted emotions nor thought any thoughts in that vein either. Everything was experienced as perfect imperfection and as One thing happening, and on a deeper level (so-to-speak) very definitely as Divinity itself. Life was being felt without separation or individuation. 

We arrived at the supermarket and went in. Immediately, I needed to grab hold of the arm of the extremely dear person because I experienced the place as overwhelming on all levels. I wanted to whisper to him and hide from everyone, especially strangers, because there was a sense of 100% exposure. I grabbed his arm and squeezed it tightly, so much so that I was concerned I may hurt him yet unable to loosen my grip because I then found I couldn’t walk – lol! I could only shuffle. A friend saw me and said I looked like a pensioner – LOL! It was so funny… Thankfully, the dear person was patient and protective and we made our way round some of the aisles at a snail’s pace. The experience was that my feet were so rooted that they were going through the ground into the earth and the Shakti shocks and rivers continued on and on through my spine and were exploding out of my body from every angle without ceasing. All the while, my breathing was still very weird like before. I still had pain but that was lost in the absolute wonder I felt….. I couldn’t believe how amazing a supermarket is… I just kept gazing at everything and everyone in wonder. I think I felt in awe that it all existed at all. And that so much was happening all at once – it was so ecstatic and orgasmic and thrilling! Even a few steps taken by ‘my own’ body was exciting for me 🙂 My mind was still blank and still words came out of my mouth sometimes, from somewhere, but I knew not from where. I wanted to whisper secretly to this dear person, so that no one could hear or see, because I felt so see-through in every way. I felt all of my inner world was exposed right out there in front of the whole of everything. I hid behind the dear person when anyone would come along. I saw objects in the supermarket, but couldn’t relate them to anything. There was no sense of need or hunger because I was not experiencing any sense of separation. I saw a loaf of bread and was fascinated by it : what was this? Why was it here? Isn’t it amazing..?? It was like being able to see the bread in the shiny plastic packaging, but without any overlayed ideas pushed onto it. I knew somehow that it was bread, yet bread no longer had any separate meaning or story.

Well, we weren’t getting very far in that state – Lol! So the dear one suggested that we go outside into the car park where there were trees and grass. As soon as I got out of the building, my system began to open outwards and it felt like consciousness was hugely expanding and being ‘allowed’ to free itself, unbounded. My body let go and the shaking, the breathing decreased a tiny bit and I could walk a little bit faster. I sat underneath a tree, which ‘helped’ further, although not as much as I had thought it would : I still had to sit bolt upright, rather than leaning against the tree, in order to allow the continuous Shakti to flow and release. I found it comforting to feel the grass underneath my crossed legs and root chakra and to hold onto the calf (leg) of the extremely dear person. Words of gratitude began to leave my lips towards him and we talked about some private things like love. I wanted to stay there forever… 

I felt terrible, though, that I was unable to help my friends with our grocery shopping for the hotel room and fridge. I felt torn between responsibility, which was fiercely arising, and my body’s natural behaviour which was beyond my ability to alter. So I surrendered as best I could. Somehow, I knew that if I could speak my experiences into a voice recorder, that would help my system to calm (perhaps because it would gain expression). So I did that. After this, my friends returned and we all piled into the truck to go to the Birthday party. On the way to the restaurant, I wanted to wave at everyone through the window of the car because I couldn’t believe they were there. It fascinated me that people existed : I knew there was no separation at all, yet here were people walking and talking around in their lives and I couldn’t get over how amazing that was. I marvelled at it and felt like crying with joy. When I retracted my hand through the window of the car, I couldn’t understand how it was still there. How can you put a hand through, into a different place, and then draw it back? How come it didn’t stay in that ‘other’ space? I somehow expected any object / thing to just disappear and I had no issue with that. I told my friends that my hand was still there because I thought they might find it as surprising as I did. Lol! It was all very funny and filmic. The dear person and one of my friends in the truck had both taken a lot of acid in the past and said that this is what acid is like, which was very interesting to learn. Suffice to say, I didn’t make it to the party – lol! My friends went and the dear person and I ate some hearty protein, which grounded me a lot and after about three more hours, my physical and energetic expressions somewhat ‘balanced’. A funny thing is though, ever since the original shift I went through and to this day, I can no longer tolerate wearing perfume or using room spray, whereas before I loved them. Plus, my appetite has become erratic and lessened, even with some occasional nausea. I think I’ll leave it there, in case this becomes lengthy or boring. A natural aspect of Embodiment of whatever degree of awakening one has realised, is service (seva), as the force of awake energy moves from the personal to the impersonal. Until that shift happens, Embodiment itself means very little at all, no matter how many classes / awakenings / breakthroughs / experiences of Divinity etc. etc. one has been through. Both Adyashanti and Eckhart Tolle have spoken eloquently on this. Another part of such Embodiment though, could perhaps be described as the stillness aspect. Having the opportunity to sit for many hours on stage with Amma and simply meditating in that radiance, is incredibly nourishing for this aspect. I have never found anything better for Embodiment and certainly no replacement for this simple and humbling act. Beholding the beauty of this avatar, this direct incarnation of Divinity in a human body, is a motion of awe….…any identification with form, any separation lingering, anything ‘else’, gently dissolves back into Divinity. 

It becomes clearer and clearer that the ‘reason’ (if there is one or needs to be) for coming here to Amritapuri is God-realisation. And in every single Darshan, Amma is putting it right in our face! Because of our naturally and passionately arising devotion to Amma, and the resulting alignment, surrender and deepening (in Divinity) created by that, in my opinion it will follow for Amma’s children.

Destination Destiny

How are you? 

I have some significant news to share with you today, which might come as quite a surprise. Last week, I made the decision to move here to Portugal. It was a case of simply recognising what was already happening and then tuning into what I sensed intuitively, meditating in a Silent eucalyptus forest in the foothills of the mountains. The greatest thing I feel to communicate now, is that I want you to know I already miss you and that this move is very challenging for me. I am going on pure intuition here. 

I imagine that this may bring up a lot for some of you and I want to acknowledge that. Please feel free to reach out here, or via WhatsApp / Telegram to share your feelings with me. However, remember that during the periods when I am in London, I will offer in-person sessions again (as well as online). I will travel to you if you live in central London : please stay tuned for more details and info about this. It looks likely that I will be in London from the 11th October for a few weeks, but this does depend on the residency process in Portugal and what stage it is at.

It’s difficult to describe the beauty of this country of Portugal, of my friends and of this retreat centre. Yet I found myself again sitting at breakfast and writing, in the pin-drop Silence, deep in the natural world, with a realisation dawning as if it had been sent on the wind.

“It’s Grace that’s brought me here, brought me to this moment. And everything – but only everything – which came before this, led me here. What people call the good, the bad and the ugly – all of it. 

Perhaps, then, every single experience is karma, and if so, what sense is there in resisting any part of the process of life? Do we simply receive back what we have previously given? If so, is this not the harmony – already fully existing – which we so voraciously seek outside of ourselves, outside of this moment, always outside..? 

What if harmony, what if peace, what if cessation, are all an inside job? Who am I to argue with this life..? Who am I?”

I will conclude today with an experience which occurred during the build-up to the first Darshan of my long stay in Amritapuri. There is a kind of poetry to the fact it happened on the very last day of 2022 and that it was my first Darshan in three years. Here is what I wrote about it :-

“I received Darshan just as this day had broken. As the man in front of me was receiving his, Amma showed me Her eyes….… It was in a way I had never seen them before. She showed me Eternity……… 

It felt like a steadying force for me, especially for my mind. What I saw was so deep…in those eyes…like pools going on forever……. Eternity….…yet more…….. I felt Amma displaying clearly what I need to dive into.”

Aren’t we incredibly fortunate?

At breakfast just now, some wisdom flew in that I felt to share with you. I was contemplating how one lives this awakeness, instead of continuing along in the old actions and the old narrative. I had an insight about what stops this naturalness. One face of the coin, is the sheer quantity of conditioning that is left over from past incarnations, genetics and childhood, and that it is way more than we imagine. Simultaneously, it’s the identification with remaining separateness, with the deep sense of ‘me’, which persists even after profound awakenings and / or significant extent of embodiment of those awakenings. Vortex Healing is a robust path because it offers a way through both of these – and is perhaps the best thing out there doing so. Aren’t we incredibly fortunate?

I have received inner guidance not to write more about my experiences of living with Amma at the moment, so apologies if you were waiting for these. I think this may be because so much has happened since then, in terms of embodiment. Perhaps the learning I gained while with Amma in the flesh has been absorbed into the fabric of what I am and is maturing here. If so, it will already be expressing in what I offer to all of you. But honestly, I don’t know why – I only know to follow the  guidance which arises from within.

In an interview with Amma which I was watching recently, She was asked what her central message to humanity is. She replied, “Be honest with oneself and have faith.” Even as I write these words, I get goosebumps all over and feel Light filling everywhere… Later on in the interview, Amma added, “I don’t have a message higher than my own life.”

Ammazing!

It is so ammazing here… I simply don’t have words to describe… As someone once said in a documentary, Amma is an experience. 

I am sorry that I haven’t written for a while. Ashram life is completely absorbing on every imaginable level. I have decided not to offer Groups while here in Amritapuri. The Groups will resume once I return.

I am available for Private Sessions once per day on Zoom in the usual way, but for 7 days per week. Sessions will be at 2 30pm IST (9am GMT). As a reminder, I am returning to London on the 12th April and will adjust my availability accordingly after that.

Hello once again from Amma’s ashram 🙂

How are you? 

I am sorry it has taken this long to get back to you: I have been completely locked out of my Yahoo email account, due to a tricky tech problem. However, due to the power of Grace, the 1000 Names and a very willing Sevite here in the ashram, the seemingly impossible was made possible 🙂 

I am returning to London on the 12th April, hoping then to be able to give in-person sessions. This is a dream of mine 🙂 Another is an in-person retreat in Portugal in October with Chetana Thornton 🙂 So I will keep you updated and send invites as that unfolds. 

From soon-ish (and that’s a big ‘ish’, as everything in India seems to take about half a day to accomplish – lol!) until mid-April, I will make sessions available via Zoom as usual. There will be more limited availability. However, I plan to give a session each day – meaning to include the weekend. This will be very good news for some of you 🙂 I will write again once I have sorted the tech aspects of the changes and etc.: I am looking forward to being with you again 🙂 

I would like to leave you with just a few insights from my time here in Amritapuri – briefly, as I am cooked! A combination of an incredible Darshan with Amma last night, intense seva (selfless service), deep sadhana (spiritual practices) and lack of sleep. I feel it’s a thrillingly relentless schedule of Divinity in Amma’s physical presence. Definitely for those born to be wild 🙂 Actually, Amma apparently once said that while the Guru lives, their organisation is like a jungle; when they die, it’s like an office. I am so happy and fulfilled to be in the jungle!

In her comments after the satsang given on the 29th January, Amma said, “The most effective way to eliminate the ego is to have a roommate with a bigger ego.” LOL! How true… She added, in a more general sense, that only by facing the challenges of life will we be able to transcend the ego. 

An early Amma devotee named Kusuma, witnessed Amma healing a man named Dattan of King Leprosy (I have seen the footage of this, in which Amma actually licks his sores with her tongue). She asked Amma how she could stand it – when every other person was moving away from Dattan..? Amma replied that the real miracle is that she (Kusuma) herself has the same power inside her, but she doesn’t know it.

Awakening to Divinity (pt. 2) + Free Online Group Healing : tomorrow 

Hello 🙂

As promised, I am sharing the next installment of goodies from the Awakening to Divinity class 🙂 First of all, what is meant by the term ‘Awakening to Divinity’? Ric explains that, in the general awakening process, awake space takes over personal consciousness. Then in Awakening to Divinity, Divinity takes over that awake space. It is when Divinity wakes up to Itself within a form. One great example of this is Ramana Maharshi: Ric believes that he was both awake and very deeply embodied in this phase, so he was living from Awakening to Divinity (since embodiment means living from our awakeness). If you gaze into a photo of Ramana, you can feel he is very very empty indeed……..and, as a result, there is all this genuine Love and compassion. 

As with all Vortex classes, it is often the rich learning which happens around the transmissions / meditations in the Q&As, which feels so precious. One particular discussion led to important information on the nature of will. I know this is a subject that many of you have asked me about before. Ric explained that what we experience as personal will, really comes from two different sources: 1) “I want this” “I want that” etc. and 2) from deep in the body – survival drive, sex drive, etc. The second is extremely strong, because of how powerfully we are identified with the body. In contrast, Divine Will and Divine Intention are really more like one singular ‘thing’, so-to-speak. The funny saying, “People make plans and God laughs” comes to mind, because what actually ends up manifesting depends entirely on Divine Will.

Awakening to Divinity (pt. 1) + Free Online Group Healing : Wed 2/11/22

Hello 🙂

I am very excited to write to you all today 🙂 I have just returned from two weeks solo in Sardinia and the completion of my third Awakening to Divinity class (Vortex Healing) 🙂 🙂 🙂 I would dearly love to share some of the magic of the class with you and to do that in installments, beginning at the end first. I think it’s important to share the impact the class had on me first, before going into details about it. Here is my diary entry the day after class finished. It’s cool that this also happened to be the day before my Birthday 🙂

“26/10/22

I am eating lunch at the most beautiful restaurant with a view to match! It feels like Merlin is giving me a huge gift….. This view is truly breathtaking and the vibe, food, people – everything – in this restaurant is perfect….. To be immersed in such beauty….. My life is so amazing….. I’m so utterly fortunate. They say that fortune is ally to the brave, yet I don’t feel I did much to get here, or that I have been particularly courageous in my life. Just about the same as the next person. Perhaps we are all ordinary people.

I’m seeing that all I need to do is allow myself to be happy. Let it all in……… I don’t need to brace myself against life any longer. As I allow this brilliance to penetrate my soul, my heart, my being in its entirety, happiness floods me……… Happiness floods, gushing and leaping, gentle and caressing. Happiness is here, now, eternally. And there is such stillness………”

So, it is with great joy that I can say, I think I was wrong about there being no connection between happiness and awakening. I know I said this during the Q&A part of a recent Free Online Group Healing, and it was what I believed at the time. But now I realise, I just hadn’t gone far enough. Or, you could say, Divinity hadn’t yet destroyed enough of the ego for me to see the truth. Amma did give me a strong hint about all this, during Darshan in Switzerland in 2019. She turned and said to me, “You need to find happiness inside.”

Since then, I have heard it said that the Guru does not tell the truth: what they say to us becomes the truth. Yes……… Now I can see this. Another lovely thing is that, I imagine if was wrong about happiness, I was probably also wrong about the other point in that aforementioned Q&A in the Free Online Group Healing: that there is no connection between health and awakening. So it’s good news all round folks 🙂 🙂 🙂 

I will be writing the other installments about Awakening to Divinity periodically, until I feel I have conveyed as much of the dense wisdom and magic of this phenomenal class as I can.

I would like to acknowledge the appointment of Rishi Sunak as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I don’t know what this implies for the future of the world… On a personal note though, I feel safer in the hands of a person of colour – who is also Hindu – than in those of the other contenders. Either way, I feel it’s important to give a nod to the great change which has happened recently (and perhaps rather dramatically) here in London. 

On a closing note, I wanted to share another interesting little thing about the class. Upon my arrival in Sardinia, the very first thing I saw was the word ‘Freedom’ in bright letters on the Givenchy t-shirt of the passenger in front and to the right of me, as we began disembarking the plane. Then later, upon my return to London, the very first thing I saw was the word ‘Surrender’ – again on the t-shirt of a fellow passenger – who was also in exactly the same position as the other one had been in the plane 🙂

“When the body becomes still, the mind follows” ~ Suzuki Roshi

I learned this during a Sunday community meditation practice with Mukti. For those of you who don’t know her, she is Adyashanti’s wife, both a teacher in her own right and the leader of Open Gate Sangha since Adya’s sabbatical. It was one of those moments when the words just went right through me……..and landed inside. I recognised something which had been taught to me so many times before, but which I was not then ready to actually hear. Can any of you meditators relate to this..? I think I will just leave it at that (instead of adding more words or ideas) in order to leave space for contemplation of that statement by the renowned Zen master. Here is an interview with the Dalai Lama, in which he weaves a lovely talk based on his appreciation of the Quantum physicist David Bohm. I love the way in which he points his finger when he speaks. That, combined with a wisdom he just radiates, reminds me of my late great uncle, Brendan O’Toole, who died very recently in his late 90s. Brendan would use his hands in the same manner during our wonderings together, which were often based around Christ in ordinary life. Brendan was one of only a tiny handful of people in my family who were on a conscious awakening path, and our connection was very tender and meaningful to me. I hope you enjoy the interview 🙂

I also thought to let you know that I have moved home. Mostly, it was intuition. In addition, there was a kind of (new) dark energy coming into my bedroom from neighbours on one side of the house, which was impacting my body, dreams and sleep every night. I am now at my Mum’s house and I plan to move to east London in the New Year. From there, I will be able to meet up with most of my friends and other family members more easily.

I had a sweet request from one of you during the last session, to include the passage I read from Adyashanti’s book ‘Sacred Inquiry’. Here it is for your enjoyment 🙂

“What allows this ultimate letting go, this unreserved surrender? Of course there can be no formula, no way to let go. I am sitting here in my living room, late at night, writing this response to you. You are here with me as I am there with you, and I can feel that in the deepest place within you is the complete willingness to let go completely; it has already let from before the beginning of time. Yet here you are wondering what can bring about this letting go. Such is the final paradox. 

You cannot do it because it has already been done, but you must still find this letting go within yourself, allow it to bloom and flower completely. 

What a divine paradox, to find a letting go that has let go from before the beginning of time. We do not do the letting go as much as we embrace it, give everything without reserve to it. It is a matter of love, is it not? And it is the courage to die for what we love, to give everything without holding back, without reserve, without expecting anything in return, not even a better life or a better experience. 

Our deepest desire is for truth or God, is it not? And not just for how God can be experienced by self, but how God is experienced by God – something neither the ego nor self can ever know. The infinity of the infinite will always be experienced as annihilation to self when self comes to its own boundary and imagines what is beyond it. 

Love truth, love the infinite, love God, with all your heart. Do not love your experiences of truth, but rather love truth as it is within itself. Take leave of yourself; flow out from yourself completely in all things. We all must die into life out of love, and thus embrace life lived beyond all self. We must become what we already are and let go into what has never held on.

How do you breathe? You just breathe. How do you embrace this letting go? You just embrace it. It’s like breathing out, continually. It’s an emptying out of all uneccessary ‘selfing’.” (Pg 118 – 119)

The upcoming Group will be about Faith. I have been receiving numerous signs, almost from every angle, to offer this as a theme. Similarly to how it takes a tremendous amount of Trust to rest in the unknown so that the known can reveal itself, Faith is a leap into the dazzling dark. Much of modern society secretly or overtly looks down on people who worship God or religion. However, is it not true that we are all already worshipping something..? Observe the relationship which many people have with status, for example, or with self-image. With power, wealth, with buying property, jewellery, with celebrities… I think you get the picture. In order to be worshipping anything at all, the ingredient of Faith has to be there already, inherently. But when we channel this self-effulgent Faith in a positive direction, we begin to live the potential of being human – of what it means to truly be alive and kicking. From this place, we can begin the journey out of contraction, self-centredness, separation and suffering, into freedom, Truth and Divinity. 

Often, at the beginning of our awakening embodiment evolution, we need an event like a miracle to inspire Faith in something deeper. I’m not saying this is necessary at all, but nevertheless, it is the way things tend to go. Here is a video which tells the story of such an event. Yesterday, I completed my third repeat of the Vortex Healing class Deepening in Divinity. Wow……. There are really no words at this point. And suffice to say I am also recovering from a Divine battering – lol! But I would like to share what I learned from a few of the class discussions. 

If we grow up with parents who we don’t trust, things can go either way as an adult. On the one hand, some people will extend that not trusting to the Divine as well. This is maybe the most common way for things to go. But other people with this same childhood experience, will only trust the Divine and nothing else. Both of these are problematic in their own ways. 

To give a little more colour to what I mean by this, I would like to relay another absolutely beautiful discussion, between Ric Weinman and a student in the class. The student was sharing how deeply grateful she feels for her husband, since he has been able to give her what her Dad didn’t – namely that he is reliable, supportive and not abandoning of her. Ric said that this is really good karma, because the tendency from conditioning would have been to repeat the cycle. It was what he went on to say, though, which also struck me. He said that there tends to be this idea in awakening paths / circles that one should only get love from the Divine alone. This can set up a big problem – a wall – and the person actually blocks love (the love which flows out and in naturally – into and out of everything and everyone). I have definitely seen this happen within the communities I am part of. I always felt confused by this kind of avoidant and defensive way of being, too often justified with a spiritual quote or two. It is not my way nor how I feel, so it was certainly affirming to hear this wisdom from a spiritual guide whom I greatly respect. I often feel that Ric Weinman has a way of putting into words things which I deeply feel but would struggle to clearly articulate. 

On the other hand (just in case any of you are getting too comfortable ;-), what can also happen is lots of attachment and aversion in relationships. And this is where the person is playing out neediness, co-dependency and loneliness etc., which will tend to create clinging or toxicity or mistakenly searching for love as only ‘coming from’ relationships. 

I also felt inspired to share with you these beautiful words from Amma :-

“Patience is a great asset. Patience is the antibiotic that destroys the germs of bad feelings like anger. Patience helps us to have a proper perspective of the thoughts that we entertain. If a person commits a mistake, we should not abhor the person but the mistake. Even if we have to punish a person, deep within ourselves we should have love towards him” ~ Amma

There was an interesting discussion about appearance versus reality, when it comes to awakening, during a recent Vortex Healing class. I have included Ric Weinman’s comments here. Enjoy 🙂  

“When one is in a state of calm, often it is imposed over the top of another place that isn’t calm and has a lot of movement in it. And, even though there might be a lot of conditioning in the place that isn’t calm, it also has aliveness. But that aliveness gets pushed out by the calm state and Divinity also ends up getting pushed out with it (since Divinity is the source of aliveness). So there is actually a trade-off for being in a calm state.”

A funny little synchronicity happened today. I had been planning on writing to you with a link for Amma’s Pujas in her Amritapuri ashram, in order to support your lives and processes. Today, I happened to use a Vortex Healing technique to perform a Puja for one of you, in session. So it seems as if Pujas – and the magic and Grace of them – are in the air 🙂 

These Pujas in the Indian ashram are performed in the traditional manner, by Pujaris chosen by Amma who have a deep alignment with the Divine. Amma very recently said that the world is going through a malific period in terms of Vedic astrology. So it would actually be ideal to get a Puja done at this time. All proceeds go to Amma’s charity ‘Embracing The World’. This global humanitarian initiative provides a Covid 19 relief program to Indians with no other assistance, pensions for women, financial support for orphanages and speciality hospitals across India, amongst many other projects. EarthShift 2021

Hello 🙂 

How are you?

I am buzzing and smiling today, from having taken the EarthShift class (which finished yesterday night) plus the day before that repeating Sensing 1. Some of you were there too 🙂 🙂 🙂 I don’t know how coherent this email will be – lol! But it’s worth a try, since I feel moved to write to you. 

The EarthShift itself was certainly the biggest we have ever facilitated as a lineage. The magnitude of that world event is simply impossible to convey in words. But what I can say is that the intention behind it was to alter a point of choice for humanity as a whole, in a radical way. There was a Choice Point 200,000 years ago, where humanity went down a darker path into conflict and violence. It’s obvious anywhere you look in history how that has played out. Why was this choice made, you may ask? More about choices later in this email. Back in the March 2019 EarthShift, we dissolved that ancient Choice Point. In this EarthShift, we manifested a New Choice Point for humanity, to take us into a path more aligned with Truth, Freedom and Divinity – as a whole human species. 

When you step outside today, please take a moment to feel the atmosphere in nature or in a person you are talking to. The EarthShift has left everything much lighter…….and whatever transformation has occurred is permanent, even though the feeling of that may not be permanent because it seems to go to the background of our awareness over time (and even though the effects of this transformation are entirely unpredictable). I’m not sure I can express much else about this event right now, as I am in the digestion phase. What I am eager to share with you are a few notes I made from classes. This is one of the most precious things about taking Vortex Healing classes – the discussions. We all learn so much from the teachers and from one another, and I want to share some of it with you. I have also added a sprinkling of my own wisdom, gathered during the course of my path. 

Sensing: people often wonder, “Why can’t I sense?” Actually everyone can sense, as it is an in-built human capacity. What blocks sensing is usually trauma, fear or anxiety, because of the way they create a shut-down against experience, which then gets stuck inside and carried forward. We need to stop ignoring, and feel what is there. As we process more and more, sensing usually follows. 

Strangely enough, people sometimes ‘lose’ their sensing ability when they take a Vortex Healing class in sensing. This is because they had been sensing from an out-of-body space, which they had originally landed in due to trauma etc. In these cases, what usually happens is that sensing goes away and then returns later on, when it is more aligned with Truth and Divinity. 

From a Vortex Healing perspective, there is nothing but Divine Choice. There was never any decision which was not made by Divinity itself, and there is no separate individual person with the power or the control to do so. Let’s take an apparent individual person, for example: there is all this conditioning going on constantly inside them… At any given moment, the Divine either allows that conditioning to play out, or it tweaks it a little. Occasionally it tweaks it a lot. This whole ‘play’ is going on all the time, not only when we notice it. This is so amazing to me… 

However, it’s not that ‘nothing matters’ or we don’t need to assume responsibility; it is more akin to a comment Adyashanti once made on this subject, which was that we have none of the power, but all of the responsibility. This responsibility is perhaps best taken in doing the inner work we know we need to do, or being around a genuine awake teacher, or simply daring to unchain ourselves in a difficult situation and do what the Divine is guiding us to do, rather than what we impulsively feel like doing. As we grow and mature in terms of awakeness, there is more ‘room’ (so-to-speak) for the Divine to come through untethered. All of this is not entirely accurate to say, but it’s the best I can do. 

The secret fantasy about sensing Truth is something like, “If I sense the truth of this situation / decision, then it will lead me to not suffer / into a path of less pain.” The reality about sensing Truth is that when we actually sense it – and follow what we sense – it will lead us into whatever we need to experience for our path. Be that suffering or not suffering (or any variation in between). The bigger picture is that, in a manner of speaking, Divinity is trying to get us to a particular place in our path. It doesn’t actually mind what it needs to do to get us there, or what that looks or feels like; it is not so concerned about that, because its true concern is so much vaster.

The idea that everything is a reflection of what is inside us is actually not a particularly useful one. More useful may be to see where we are reacting. These are the relationships or situations in which our remaining conditioning is being revealed – and that is very useful, because then we can directly experience what our issue is and work through it. Just by being aware of where we are reacting, we already have one foot out – into Freedom. This begins the journey of dissolving the conditioning, which certainly requires self-effort and the right tools for the job.
