Energy Flow 

Hello 🙂 

How are you?

I am well and have some exciting news today 🙂 I have had a client for a few years now, Kitty Shukman, who is a streetwear and shoe designer. There was an instant connection between us from the start, which is always lovely, and also with her mother, author Jessica Pryce-Jones, who comes for sessions with me as well. Over time, we each bonded and became friends as well as healer / clients and the sessions continued. Kitty was recently bestowed with the prestigious honour of being selected as one of only a handful of young designers to present their own brands at London Fashion Week. Having established herself with several enigmatic streetwear brands and fashion houses, the opportunity to present what she had created independently was priceless for Kitty. She asked me to support her with the show, both to prepare her for such an undertaking and to do space clearing and personal healing at the show itself, being there to hold space for her and her crew. 

I remembered at that point, our journey together with Amma at the Los Angeles program this summer. I managed to get us onto the stage with Amma when Kitty entered the hall. We were seated at the back of the stage, yet Amma found Kitty’s eyes several times and gave her a deep gaze. For some reason, probably Grace, we were kept on the stage for more than an hour, which is unusual nowadays especially for a first-timer. When it came to Darshan, Amma spent a great deal of time with Kitty, playing like a child with the healing chocolate characters she has created, along with her amazing tarot cards and shoe designs – part of the collection for her brand ‘Again’, aka ‘Positive Energy Flows Again’. Amma then reached over and handed her an apple. That was when I really knew…something is going to come of this. 

Skip on a couple of months, and back here in London I was doing an in-person session for Kitty. One of the things I did was to create a Divine Door for ‘Positive Energy Flows Again’ (an EW4 MRLN Mendra Divine Door), placing it in one of the shoe prototypes and more widely into the consciousness of the whole brand. Merlin prompted me to ask Kitty to get specific about her intention with her career, which she did. I won’t share what she said, but suffice to say it was both sincere and selfless, so much so it brought tears to my eyes. Again, at that moment, I knew…something is going to come of this. 

The day came for the show last Friday and it was so exciting! I felt intimidated going in, to be honest, but thankfully I realised quickly that I had indeed managed to rummage out good clothes for the occasion – lol! I had a clear intention for being there, which also helped a lot : to be a healing presence for Kitty, the crew and models, for Kitty’s artistic vision, for the work itself and to channel on the set. Things were already underway when I arrived at midday and Kitty’s sound designer and I discussed how to create the right atmosphere for the show. He was very open to Amma, so Kitty asked him to play the 1000 Names loudly on set while I cleared the whole space. That was one of my favourite moments – pure magic : there I was, with Amma’s Swami chanting over the speakers, entering into this fascinating and unknown world and doing what I most love to do. The show itself was centred around a shoe – the infinity shoe :-

Suffice to say, when showtime hit and it came time to welcome the 400 guests from the fashion world, everything was spectacular! And Kitty said she felt that I had fixed a major lighting issue, by creating a Divine Door and then sitting with the situation in the Global Healing Grid. It’s hard to remember everything else now, because it was such an intense and thrilling day, but the feelings are something that I think will stay with me forever. 

Here are a couple of snippets :-

The following day, I was on the tube and received a Telegram message from an Amma friend. She wondered if I knew a designer who had mentioned Vortex Healing and Amma in her interview for Vogue magazine? My mouth fell open… I opened the link she had sent me and stared, with absolute astonishment… There, right before my very eyes, were the words ‘Vortex Healing’ written at the top of an entire article in Vogue. Not only that, but Amma’s full name – Mata Amritanandamayi – was also in the article, plus the ‘energy healer’ referred to was me. I marvelled at what Divinity had created… I was in awe…

I got off the tube at my stop and, in a usual rush, ran to get the escalator and continue my journey to the next client. But as I crossed over that way, I broke down in tears. I was crying, right in the middle of the tube station – I simply couldn’t stop those tears. I was, quite literally, overjoyed. If there was any story behind the joy inside my tears, it was about what this could mean for Amma’s dream for humanity, for Kitty, for Vortex Healing and for me. Then in my heart I silently prayed, thanking Amma and Merlin over and over again. Things have been very challenging on a human life level for me recently, yet this miracle from God just wiped all that away. The drama came to an end. As I cried, all I could feel was Divinity. I was reconnected. And in that reconnection, it was like I was looking through a window, which I realised was a window into Reality. I perceived that Reality never changes. I could also feel that I am always and only looked after, always and only loved, always and only in Divinity. And so are you. It was a revelation…a total sensing, an insight which included everyone and everything.

I would like to finish by recounting a brief tale. This was told to us all in a satsang during Tour, by a Brahmacharini in yellow whom I greatly respect. She said a man had come for Amma’s Darshan and asked Amma for advice on his sadhana (spiritual practices). Amma’s answer was very beautiful, with a touching yet profound simplicity which only She seems able to convey :- 

“Any action which doesn’t harm the world is sadhana” ~ Amma

Real bliss is within 

Hello 🙂

Another way of touching on this area, is to perceive – fully, without holding back – that what we want and what we need are rarely related. I’m sorry to break it – if it is news – to you, but it’s true. And yet, in every single moment we are getting exactly what we need.

I thought I would share some of my notes from Amma’s U.S. Tour with you now. During Oakland program, Amma explained to us in a speech that we must never try to compare ourselves with others. Instead, always see from the perspective of the True Self. 

During the Washington D.C. program, there was a public Q&A and a young woman (probably 20 or thereabouts) asked a beautiful question concerning what to do when, although we do not express anger  or resentful feelings to a person directly, when we walk away from the conversation with them, these are still going on in our mind. Amma said, if we introspect, we will find that the anger we feel towards someone really arises from expectations or from being judgemental. She continued, saying that sadness also gets expressed as anger or as revenge. We do not understand the mental state of the other person. The world is like a mental asylum, with each of us being either crazy or on the verge of being crazy. 

Although a snake may be frozen in ice, if it is left in the sun the ice will melt and the snake will all-of-a-sudden rise up and could bite us. Only by going through the circumstances of life, will we understand what our own latent tendencies are.

If we get into conflict with someone, immediately we should move away from the situation and contemplate – go within. In order to become aware of the gap between our thoughts and actions, we need patience. Amma said that each situation is our Guru, our Teacher. Seeing any person as a mirror for ourself, we will learn a lot. 

Anger is a double-edged sword, with which we get hurt first. Or it could be likened to a hot iron ball : when we throw it at someone, we get hurt first. 

However, if an animal like a deer is eating our vegetable patch, it is no good saying, “My dear, dear, dear deer, please stop eating the vegetables.” Instead, we need to take a stick, wave it at the deer and shoo it away with words. 

The world is like an examination hall. We need to go through many circumstances in life in order to learn all the lessons. Amma said that we may fail when facing a situation, but never give up. 

‘Awareness’ was the only word which Amma used repeatedly in English throughout this Q&A (the rest being in Malayalam as usual), which I found interesting. Amma continued : whatever action we perform, the first 10% is not within our control. But the following 90% is within our control. If through having the proper awareness, we can make the initial action as positive as it can be, then the rest will follow accordingly. In order to develop such awareness, we need to do spiritual practices like meditation or Archana (the 1000 Names) regularly. 

Amma finished by saying to the woman directly, “Whatever your conscience tells you to do, you should do that.”

The Swami whom we used to call ‘Star Wars Swami’ (because he looks quite like an Ewok, but meaning no disrespect at all!) and now commonly known as ‘Flute Swami’ (real name Swami Purnamritananda Puri), gave a beautiful satsang during Tour at the Washington D.C. program. Bear in mind that this Swami is one of only a handful of people whom Amma says has realised the Self. He said when finishing his satsang,

I would like to tell you the story of what happened to me today, to try to convey some of the Wild Grace which permeates these Tours with Amma. 

I had just left my friend and the hotel we were staying in and wanted to find coffee, having stayed up with Amma all night for Devi Bhava here in Boston. I went to a random cafe nearby and, as I approached the counter, I could feel Amma (from within) nudging me to strike up a conversation with the people in front of me in line. I resisted, yet the feeling persisted. Finally, I started talking to them and discovered that they were actually Amma devotees who had just been to the program. We had a brief but warm and joyful conversation and afterwards I sat down in a different part of the cafe. I wanted to have breakfast alone because I was beginning to get concerned that I hadn’t booked anything for this leg of the journey. Basically, I was winging it – lol! I had no accommodation for tonight and no transport either. 

No sooner than I had finished eating, when an Indian family from London (who I had not yet noticed at the next table) began talking to me. They were grateful because I had helped them during the program to gain permission to give Prasad to Amma (one of those closely guarded seva activities in which we get close to Amma). In our short, yet also somehow timeless conversation, they ended up giving me vital information about Q&As with Amma – without even knowing that this matter was at the forefront of my mind. 

The next moment, the lady from the earlier conversation (at the counter) approached me and asked if I wanted a ride as she was about to leave for Boston airport. I checked the route and area and realised I could easily access the city from there, so I gratefully accepted her offer – thinking that I would get a hotel for the night in Boston itself. I prayed with gratitude to Amma, already amazed by the assistance I was being offered by complete strangers and feeling the rising Grace behind it all. In the car, this lady (Aishwarya / Landry) told me a story about a family she had met on Europe Tour in Barcelona in 2018. Later on in the car journey, I mentioned Vortex Healing and – to my amazement – it turned out that the family from her story was Daniel Wald, Amanda and Mala (friends / Vortex Healing teacher)! Aishwarya and I were so blown away that we were almost screaming with delight and her teenage daughter Uma had to tell us to pipe down – lol! We had a beautiful, warm and wonderful conversation for the rest of the journey 🙂 filled with sharing and stories. When I got out of the car, I thought I may as well search for a hotel there, since sometimes they are less expensive near an airport. Literally just as I opened my phone to do so, I received a message out-of-the-blue from a devotee friend whom I had seen earlier on the Tour. For some reason, even though we rarely contact each other, she messaged specifically to offer me a place to stay! 🙂 I was mesmerised, especially by the timing….… And so it has unfolded and I am now on the train to her place in beautiful Rhode Island, to swim in the Atlantic and unwind, before the New York leg of Amma’s Tour.

By request during the last Group Healing, I will share what I composed for that session :-

Real Sensing

Real Sensing has very little to do with a technique. It has more to do with the ongoing willingness to see what’s true. When we are doing a healing on another person, it may be relatively easy to access that willingness within ourselves. But when it comes to us, we can often feel blocked or in limbo inside.

So, what is significant to perceive within ourselves and what is not..? There are usually a few things, or even just one thing, at any time in our lives which keep coming up and knocking on our door. These are the things which we know are there, but which we are not addressing. We have perhaps already received many intuitions about a certain situation in life, but have ignored those inner messages or outer messages. 

Such intuitive knowing always has its roots within the dynamic aspect of Truth. This is the ‘side of the coin’ of Truth if you will, which is the counterpart to Stillness, awakening and realisation. This dynamic side of Truth pushes through our lives, without any regard for our personal preferences or demands. It is like a force……very creative, very interesting, which clears out illusions one by one. This electric current of Truth is something that we tend to try to avoid or control, because it can shake us to our very core of identity, of ego, of any place inside where we are resisting being the actual Divinity that we are. Yet these intuitive flickers keep happening anyway, in moments, leaping to the foreground of experience like diamonds in the darkness.

“So, the other thing I’m noticing in this whole awakening embodiment evolution that’s really exploded on this trip, is…there’s no need for resolution anymore. There were so many things I was trying to resolve. Always trying to resolve things with people, or mostly in my own mind : like, ‘this means this or this means that’ and ‘how can I resolve this?’, whatever it was. And that sense has gone. There’s no feeling that anything needs resolution, because the resolution IS already living and breathing within the whole world. Within what I am, within…it is what I am, so there’s no feeling of…I don’t feel so threatened by everything. It’s like, you know, I don’t have to come to some kind of understanding / resolution about every single thing. Something in that sense has just gone. Completely gone.”

Class ended for the day after that unbelievable breakthrough I had had and the plan was to go to a friend’s Birthday party at a restaurant later on and pick up groceries beforehand. My friends and I got into the truck of a person who is extremely dear to me and who had offered to drive us to the supermarket. Even before I got to the truck and sat in the passenger seat, I began to have sensations in my body which built and built. As I touched the dashboard of the car, I could feel orgasmic waves passing through everything… I mean, it was ecstatic for me just to touch the car in this way. Yet these waves of heaven were in everything / as everything, so it wasn’t personal and it wasn’t sexual as much as it was sensual; it felt like Divine Union everywhere all at once. My breathing deepened and transformed in a similar way to when the breakthrough was occurring, difficult to convey in words, but it was something like gasping while simultaneously breathing very very deeply. I became sensitive to the cold and any cold air on my skin was painful, yet my body was hot and especially my heart centre – which one of my friends was holding and commenting on. My whole body was waving, somehow like water, like the ocean, yet also shaking and I had nerve pain all over. I took two paracetamol and some CBD oil (without THC) because the pains were very intense, especially in my left shoulder, neck and head. I had to sit up very straight all the time in the car, which was kind of awkward, because there was Shakti was pouring out of me like continuous rivers, especially up and down my spine. My body seemed no longer to be in my conscious control, so I tried to let go more and more of trying to ‘catch’ it. None of this, nor anything else at all, was experienced in any way as a problem or as wrong. But my friends were worried about me because of how weirdly my being was behaving – lol! I could see how worried they were and I tried to reassure them often. My mind was blank, yet words were coming out of my mouth when in communication. I felt no conflicted emotions nor thought any thoughts in that vein either. Everything was experienced as perfect imperfection and as One thing happening, and on a deeper level (so-to-speak) very definitely as Divinity itself. Life was being felt without separation or individuation. 

We arrived at the supermarket and went in. Immediately, I needed to grab hold of the arm of the extremely dear person because I experienced the place as overwhelming on all levels. I wanted to whisper to him and hide from everyone, especially strangers, because there was a sense of 100% exposure. I grabbed his arm and squeezed it tightly, so much so that I was concerned I may hurt him yet unable to loosen my grip because I then found I couldn’t walk – lol! I could only shuffle. A friend saw me and said I looked like a pensioner – LOL! It was so funny… Thankfully, the dear person was patient and protective and we made our way round some of the aisles at a snail’s pace. The experience was that my feet were so rooted that they were going through the ground into the earth and the Shakti shocks and rivers continued on and on through my spine and were exploding out of my body from every angle without ceasing. All the while, my breathing was still very weird like before. I still had pain but that was lost in the absolute wonder I felt….. I couldn’t believe how amazing a supermarket is… I just kept gazing at everything and everyone in wonder. I think I felt in awe that it all existed at all. And that so much was happening all at once – it was so ecstatic and orgasmic and thrilling! Even a few steps taken by ‘my own’ body was exciting for me 🙂 My mind was still blank and still words came out of my mouth sometimes, from somewhere, but I knew not from where. I wanted to whisper secretly to this dear person, so that no one could hear or see, because I felt so see-through in every way. I felt all of my inner world was exposed right out there in front of the whole of everything. I hid behind the dear person when anyone would come along. I saw objects in the supermarket, but couldn’t relate them to anything. There was no sense of need or hunger because I was not experiencing any sense of separation. I saw a loaf of bread and was fascinated by it : what was this? Why was it here? Isn’t it amazing..?? It was like being able to see the bread in the shiny plastic packaging, but without any overlayed ideas pushed onto it. I knew somehow that it was bread, yet bread no longer had any separate meaning or story.

Well, we weren’t getting very far in that state – Lol! So the dear one suggested that we go outside into the car park where there were trees and grass. As soon as I got out of the building, my system began to open outwards and it felt like consciousness was hugely expanding and being ‘allowed’ to free itself, unbounded. My body let go and the shaking, the breathing decreased a tiny bit and I could walk a little bit faster. I sat underneath a tree, which ‘helped’ further, although not as much as I had thought it would : I still had to sit bolt upright, rather than leaning against the tree, in order to allow the continuous Shakti to flow and release. I found it comforting to feel the grass underneath my crossed legs and root chakra and to hold onto the calf (leg) of the extremely dear person. Words of gratitude began to leave my lips towards him and we talked about some private things like love. I wanted to stay there forever… 

I felt terrible, though, that I was unable to help my friends with our grocery shopping for the hotel room and fridge. I felt torn between responsibility, which was fiercely arising, and my body’s natural behaviour which was beyond my ability to alter. So I surrendered as best I could. Somehow, I knew that if I could speak my experiences into a voice recorder, that would help my system to calm (perhaps because it would gain expression). So I did that. After this, my friends returned and we all piled into the truck to go to the Birthday party. On the way to the restaurant, I wanted to wave at everyone through the window of the car because I couldn’t believe they were there. It fascinated me that people existed : I knew there was no separation at all, yet here were people walking and talking around in their lives and I couldn’t get over how amazing that was. I marvelled at it and felt like crying with joy. When I retracted my hand through the window of the car, I couldn’t understand how it was still there. How can you put a hand through, into a different place, and then draw it back? How come it didn’t stay in that ‘other’ space? I somehow expected any object / thing to just disappear and I had no issue with that. I told my friends that my hand was still there because I thought they might find it as surprising as I did. Lol! It was all very funny and filmic. The dear person and one of my friends in the truck had both taken a lot of acid in the past and said that this is what acid is like, which was very interesting to learn. Suffice to say, I didn’t make it to the party – lol! My friends went and the dear person and I ate some hearty protein, which grounded me a lot and after about three more hours, my physical and energetic expressions somewhat ‘balanced’. A funny thing is though, ever since the original shift I went through and to this day, I can no longer tolerate wearing perfume or using room spray, whereas before I loved them. Plus, my appetite has become erratic and lessened, even with some occasional nausea. I think I’ll leave it there, in case this becomes lengthy or boring. I will return to London on the 18th April, having completed the class ‘The Magical Jewel’ (the most advanced level of Vortex Healing) in Virginia Beach, USA. Again, I will be offering in-person, private online and online group sessions at that time. 

I was recently watching a rare live satsang by Adyashanti, who was talking directly from awakened intelligence. I would like to share my take on some of what he conveyed that day. The idea that we need to get rid of our egos is only an idea which arises from ego. The Truth has a totally different way, a completely other orientation, and then there is what could be described as a third way. This is when our egos find their proper relationship to our deeper nature, when they come into service to it. The potential of that is that the ego is simply a support to true nature. You see, there’s no war – no going into battle with your mind (which never worked anyway) – and no going against anything. Not even any choosing. It’s as if a type of marriage or coming together occurs : a marriage of what once appeared as opposites. This is the integration, embodiment and surrender which colours true human evolution.

Breathe

Hello 🙂

How are you? 

I am currently down with what seems like Covid and that is why I haven’t written until now. I had an incredible start to my journey with Amma though………so I’m definitely not complaining 🙂 Plus, I feel fortunate, since some people in this ashram are now in hospital with this. At one point, I must say, I was extremely ill with fever, nerve pain, unable to breathe properly, streaming nose, sore throat and so weak I couldn’t walk further than across the room. Thank goodness for Vortex Healing! I am still not yet well enough to give sessions, so please stay tuned for that. I hope to begin again in the next few days. I really miss you all and I miss working 😦 The only thing I have been able to offer while totally confined to this room, is to create a mix. It may not be a healing session, but I hope it brings you some enjoyment / dancing / goosebumps at least 🙂

A Rain of Grace

Hello 🙂

How are you? 

It has been an incredibly busy time during December 2023 and January 2024. Happily so, with many many blessings and much Grace, but yet so very busy indeed. I want to apologise for not finding the time to do the Group on the 12th Jan, for not being so available lately and for not getting back to all of your emails and messages. 

I also want to thank you, for all your inner work in 2023, which made my job as a healer such a delight. I love what I do and I love working with you 🙂 I feel so fortunate to be working with such interesting, intelligent, loving and sincere beings. May we all get what we need and our life’s goal. 

Having arrived in India on the 16th of this month, I have had quite a ride already with travel and illness (India digestive stuff). But it has all been so right….. You know when you just realise the profound ‘rightness’ of the experiences you are having..? I don’t know if that’s really the correct word for the context, but I think you probably get the gist.

I am currently in Goa and will be travelling to Cochin in Kerala on the 24th and then on to the ashram (Amritapuri) on the 26th. As much as I would like to work from my room here in Goa, the connectivity just isn’t reliable enough. I am hoping that once I reach the ashram, I will be given a room which makes online private sessions possible. I miss you all and miss giving the sessions I so love. Although it has to be said that I will have very limited access to reliable connectivity, you can try me on WhatsApp or Telegram if you need something – especially if you are experiencing a healing emergency / crisis. 

There is something important I want to share with you all. I had a deep and mystical experience of Truth just now, whilst watching one of my favourite films of all time. These words then came through, perhaps partially channelled, perhaps partially from my interpretation of what I realised in that moment :- 

Please always know that a Rain of Grace is falling upon you. Divinity is always always always here, perfectly available and present. Listening within is the way. Doing so, any person can find the sole force of this entire universe and fall into That endlessly, or even only for a few seconds. Yet such ‘seconds’ will possibly change the rest of that person’s life, forever. 

Trust your feelings, and from there trust what is the basis of those feelings (and of all things), and from there, dive even deeper still. Surrender now, and you will never regret doing so. Be here now, and you will never regret doing so. Give yourself peace now, and you will never regret doing so. Always know that you are loved beyond imagining, by the Formless itself – in fact by Divinity in and out of form. 

I sometimes think that Unconditional Love is the only thing worth calling reality. 

It’s unlikely that I will be able to offer the Free Online Group Healings until my return to London in mid-March. However, once I am back in London I will be offering these, plus in-person sessions again as before 🙂

There are no words for the exquisite nature of what she has created over so many years……. I can only tell you that I have been deeply impacted by it. Now that I have had time to process it, I am ready to acknowledge Adyashanti’s retirement. Hopefully you have heard about this already and my mentioning it is not a shock. It is difficult for me to write or talk about this because I have felt so emotional about Adya retiring. I just can’t believe that this time has come…I never thought it would, even though it feels completely right. I feel that from the depth which he is now in, there is nothing more to communicate about awakening or embodiment. He has given everything to the world and now is the time to surrender into the Silence he so loves in a final way. (Just to be clear, I am not talking about physical death.) The legacy Adya is leaving behind in retiring, is one of grass-roots goodness, Truth, Compassion and dharmic selflessness. I will be ever grateful for all he has revealed and encouraged me to dive into within. The blessings he has brought into my life are exquisite, continuous in nature, untold, untellable… Often, I find myself crying inside and, in moments of solitude, these tears surface to freedom.

Although each Group Healing will have a specific focus, they are also an opportunity to rest and to soak up the nectar of  the Divine practices you have been engaging in. Here, Divinity creates a space of softness and tenderness to heal, allowing many levels of intimate sharing to unfold – without pressure.

I would like to draw your attention to a podcast series from a member of this community, Max Buchmann. Check out ‘Heart of a King’ on Apple podcasts (and etc.). In particular, I recommend episode 15 although all of them are excellent. I feel the need for men’s inner work as a strong calling from our world today and I love Max’s approach and the light he brings. I was messaging with him recently because I was thinking about the true masculine and true feminine. Max came up with a succinct description which really encapsulated it :-

True masculine = I am loving, grounded presence

True feminine = life (without the feminine there would be no life and she makes everything truly come alive), openness, expression, connection, flow

By the way, it dawned on me recently to explain something important. I used to think that we weren’t allowed to be friends with our clients – as in the world of psychotherapy, for example. But I wrote to Ric at some point and he said this is not the case. I apologise if I gave anyone the aforementioned impression; it was because I didn’t know. I was once told by a gifted psychic and healer (Chetana Thornton) that it is part of my dharma to create community. So I have been pondering ways to expand upon the Group Healings. Perhaps creating get-togethers in person for anyone who would like that. At the moment, my housing situation won’t support it, but when I get back from India it will be more plausible. It is so enriching to come together as sangha and be in the company of like-hearted souls 🙂 🙂 🙂

“When the body becomes still, the mind follows” ~ Suzuki Roshi

I learned this during a Sunday community meditation practice with Mukti. For those of you who don’t know her, she is Adyashanti’s wife, both a teacher in her own right and the leader of Open Gate Sangha since Adya’s sabbatical. It was one of those moments when the words just went right through me……..and landed inside. I recognised something which had been taught to me so many times before, but which I was not then ready to actually hear. Can any of you meditators relate to this..? I think I will just leave it at that (instead of adding more words or ideas) in order to leave space for contemplation of that statement by the renowned Zen master. Here is an interview with the Dalai Lama, in which he weaves a lovely talk based on his appreciation of the Quantum physicist David Bohm. I love the way in which he points his finger when he speaks. That, combined with a wisdom he just radiates, reminds me of my late great uncle, Brendan O’Toole, who died very recently in his late 90s. Brendan would use his hands in the same manner during our wonderings together, which were often based around Christ in ordinary life. Brendan was one of only a tiny handful of people in my family who were on a conscious awakening path, and our connection was very tender and meaningful to me. I hope you enjoy the interview 🙂

I also thought to let you know that I have moved home. Mostly, it was intuition. In addition, there was a kind of (new) dark energy coming into my bedroom from neighbours on one side of the house, which was impacting my body, dreams and sleep every night. I am now at my Mum’s house and I plan to move to east London in the New Year. From there, I will be able to meet up with most of my friends and other family members more easily.

Following the previous Group Healing, I received a deeply touching email from one of you, along with other messages and emails about your experiences. These are always gratefully received, so thank you 🙂 I am including parts of the aforementioned email anonymously:-

“I had my first mini-bhakti today, most likely because of your group healing. I loved the story of Amma, then the healing itself in which I felt things, then your email about weeping and crying out to Divinity…so this afternoon, during a transmission in which I felt that the Merlin-mantra was only coming out of my mind, I somehow could surrender and open up, give in to a longing for connection with Merlin/Divinity, and I was in tears, and ‘held’, seen. ’Twas a small wonder, and all because I attended your group healing…”

I want to acknowledge the death of the Queen, the appointment of King Charles III and the appointment of Prime Minister Liz Truss. Quite an epic rollercoaster for the UK / Britain, in the space of only a few days!! Whatever your view may be, it is a significant loss and one which has been felt in some way by everyone, particularly in London. These sessions are very powerful indeed: yesterday, I participated and a friend of 20 years spontaneously called me straight afterwards, who had also been there. We could barely communicate at first, because we were so blasted by the intensity of the energetic from the Divine Doors. We were just laughing so hard! Unbeknownst to us during the Yantra, our brains had been reconfigured in some way – perhaps an upgrade – which I am still feeling today. It’s like a kind of bliss and harmonisation. 

Are you interested in learning a meditation technique directly from Amma’s mind? The IAM (Integrated Amrita Meditation) Technique came about in 2004 (if I remember correctly). Apparently, Amma went for a walk around Amritapuri ashram in the wee hours of the morning, when no-one was about, and the steps came to Her one-by-one in a vision while gazing at the sea. I first learned it that same year, at the San Ramon ashram. I found it tremendously helpful each morning during my brief affair with Advertising. When in the office, I felt I had a shield of protection around every part of me and a direct link to Divinity. Further down the line, I experienced samadhi for a few seconds during one part of the practice. Free Online Group Healing : this Wednesday :-) 

Hello 🙂

How are you?

Have you noticed there is a vast feeling of space everywhere, at all times and in all situations..? It is a grand Silence, relatable to the feeling of walking into a cathedral or huge art-deco ballroom. It is both ‘inside’ and ‘outside’. It’s as if Eternity is rising to greet the mind with a welcoming happy glance. Often the mind says, No [insert excuses], which is fine and the vast space remains totally undisturbed. There is something beautifully non-negotiable about it…we just cannot bargain with what is. What is, is never part of that game: the game of being “in business with life” as Tony Parsons has so wonderfully described it. That belongs to a completely different landscape, a level upon which the real doesn’t dance its dance. The real can easily disguise itself inside one of the dancers, but it does not itself devote to that kind of manipulation. All forcing, beguiling and making deals ends with the dawning of unconditional Love, which is perhaps the culmination of this vast space. 

It’s a funny thing that the unreal never is or was real, so why do we all pretend for so many painful years that it is? Eventually of course, death comes and immediately exposes the mythology upon which we have laid our fantasies; what we may even have termed “our lives”. Maybe all the while, Divinity is asking, hinting, “Why wait?” The freedom we crave is fully available right now. And only, ever and always now.

Somehow, I am reminded here of something Amma once said :-

“When there is true Love, anything is effortless”

Like almost everything Amma says, the sheer simplicity of it is sort-of finalising: it has a finality to it, daring the ego to stop…..dead………..check-mate.

It is one of those songs which everyone in my generation in England would have at least heard (if not, partially grown up on) during their teenage years. Aside from a multiverse of enthused comments I could make about it, I will say that there is something wonderfully wistful about it… And the timbre of the aural landscape gives the chance for expanse, opening, relaxation. EarthShift, Podcast, Free Will and Free Online Group Healing

Yes, as many of you will be aware, we are in the middle of an EarthShift 🙂 I don’t want to get into too much complexity about what we are doing, since I think it runs the risk of feeling a little distancing. In a nutshell though, every so often a huge group of Vortex Healing practitioners gets together to work on the earth and human species. The group is led by Ric Weinman and Anthony Gorman. This particular EarthShift is about creating two new points of choice from Divinity, within creation, which actually allow all human beings to move into more of a friendliness with one another. What we are moving out of is a type of intense negativity. As a species, we went into that like a trajectory, many thousands of years back in time and it has been influencing life on Earth ever since.

I am very happy to say that I was interviewed for a podcast during the summer. The series has been created by Max Buchmann, who you may know from the Group Healings. I have received very humbling and moving feedback about our conversation and I feel it is time to share it with all of you. Please also feel free to explore the other episodes in this series since, like I have, you may learn a great deal from them :-

On a different subject, many of you ask me about free will or free choice. It is indeed a fascinating topic 🙂 and I would like to share more. These insights are from discussions with my friends and experiences on my own path and those of the teachers and practitioners of Vortex Healing. 

The essential thing is that all choice is Divine choice. Contrary to popular belief, the intellect has little involvement in making choices. Every choice – big or small – arises from Mystery. It then moves through the body and system of the individual, giving it the appearance of coming from that individual. The only such thing as free choice or free will is that which comes out of what is already free (ie, Divinity). At any point when a choice is being made, life can actually go in either direction: Divinity can choose to follow egoic consciousness, or it can choose to follow freedom. Also worth noting, is that the power to do any of this is coming from the only source of any power: Divinity. Surprisingly enough, the ego doesn’t have any power. It has no power ‘of its own’. 

A question may then arise, something like, “But why would Divinity choose to follow egoic consciousness?” You may have noticed that, in fact, Divinity mostly does choose the forays of egoic consciousness. I think that this is for the pure play of it all. Remember, Divinity does not have likes nor dislikes. So it’s not in that separation game whatsoever – it’s not condemning anything, it’s not exalting anything, it’s not believing one person to be better than another etc. etc. By moving into egoic consciousness, I think Divinity is exploring 🙂 It’s exploring the experience of separation 🙂  Divinity is absolutely fascinated by the play of that and by the myriad ways in which that expresses. And it seems to me that Divinity is doing this…until it isn’t any more 🙂
